The Rice School Language Arts Department Celebrated
National Poetry Month

Student may participate in one or more of the following activities through their English or reading class.

1. Literary magazine - The journalism class is planning to publish a literary magazine in. Poetry submissions will be accepted in April. The deadline for submissions will be published in the school paper.

2. Web Page Publication - Students may also submit their poetry to their English teacher for publication on the language arts web page.

3. Poetry Poster Contest - Students may participate in a poetry poster contest. Guidelines will be available from language arts teachers.

4. Poetry Night - Students may read their poetry at Poetry Night which will culminate this year's celebration. Students will receive this information from their English or reading teachers in early April.
