Diego Rivera (1886-1957) Rivera was a Mexican muralist that was actively involved in politics. His vibrant murals depicted the history of his country and the oppression of common people.

George Seurat (1859 - 1891) Seurat was a Post-Impressionist artist who felt that art must be based on a system. He covered his canvases with systematic dots of color which was intended, at a distance, to merge in the viewers eye producing a shimmering, translucent effect.
