What's New in the Habitat
Our Habitat is officially one year old. Many of the native plant species we planted have become more established creating more shelter and thereby attracting more wildlife to our school. Some examples are more bird and squirrel nests in our trees, more diverse insect species found on our wildflowers and more evidence of wildlife activity around our pond (animal tracks and paths). Many classes have used the Habitat this Spring as an outdoor classroom where they can observe plants and animals in their natural environment.
