Telephone, Textbooks, Lockers, Personal Property

Telephone Use
We request that parents and students take care of personal business before they separate for the school day. The school telephones are for school business, not for personal use of students. In order for us to maintain continuity in our woirk and the students on-task performance, we must limit outside interruptions. For this reason, we will not deliver messages to students unless it is an emergency. Please plan with you child before the school day begins their after-school schedule, transportation needs, medical appointment plans, etc. If your child mst leave school early, they must arrive at school with a note from a parent stating:

Reason
Time to be picked up
Telephone number for verification
Parent signature

Textbooks
Each classroom teacher will issue textbooks. In each book, write, in ink, your name, your teacher's name and the semester of the year issued. All books must be covered as required by state law. Textbooks are the property of the State of Texas and, if lost, damaged, or stolen, must be paid for by the studnet to whom they are assigned.

Lockers (Middle School students)
Student lockers are assigned by homeroom teachers and are to be used for storing school supplies. Physical education teachers will assign a gym locker. Students will need two, good quality locks; one for the regular locker and one for the physical education locker.
Never bring valuables to school
Always make certain your locker is locked
Do not share your locker with any other students

Personal Property
Skate boards and personal PE equipment, such as balls, ropes, etc. are not allowed on campus. Portable radios, cameras, large sums of money, and other personal property are not to be brought to school. Many problems can arise and the school cannot assume responsibility for them. If such personal property is brought to school, it will be taken and held in the assistant principal's office for the parent to pick up.
