DEMO #2: Oobleck

Purpose:

To compare properties of new substance to originals.
To follow safety guidelines.
To identify substances using their physical properties and conclude their state of matter.


Materials:

beakers, graduated cylinder, wooden stick (to stir), medicine dropper, cornstarch, water, paper towels, safety goggles, lab apron

Procedure:
1. Mix 75.0% cornstarch and 25.0% water
(75.0mL of cornstarch and 25.0mL of water)
This is an estimate, you may need more or less water.
